  • The Velvet Tango Room is one of the best bars that I have ever been to. I would come here every weekend if I could afford it. The drinks are expensive, but they are totally worth it (that's why I try to order drinks based on the number of martini glasses next to "Potency" on the menu). The atmosphere at the VTR is amazing. There is a bar area with tables and sofas in the back with a piano (for added fancy). If you saw the outside of VTR, you would not believe it would look so nice inside. I drove by it a few times, because it looks like an old run-down house. Look for the little neon sign in the window. The drinks that I have had over several visits have been incredible (save one that tasted like burning tires). The bartenders know what they are doing, and you can trust them (which you can't always do at other bars). The have a gourmet root beer on the menu which is absolutely amazing. It's like a desert for your drinks. If you're looking for a great night out and don't mind spending $15 per drink, then this is the place for you!
