| - Mexican street food, but phenomenal.
I ordered a huarache and horchata. I meant to order a tlacoyo, but something got lost in the translation; nonetheless, the single huarache was enough to satisfy my lunch needs.
The horchata was, as I recall, more cinnamony than sweet and overall a great drink. The huarache, however; that was something else. It was the best toppings of any taco I've ever had, with nice, crumbly cotija cheese, crunchy lettuce, and well-cooked steak (I think) al pastor. It was served on top of something that resembled a thick, fried tortilla, and the combination of textures and flavors worked very, very well.
The chips went to my wife, who, because the store has about 15 seats total, was on the other side of the restaurant. Nonetheless I was able to try chips with the various salsas, all of which were very good.
This place is a gift to Champaign, and if you're traveling anywhere near town, you owe it to yourself to give it a try.
