| - Service could be improved, and table-side manner was a little lacking. and the atmosphere was a cliche textbook 'warm wood' bar. everything felt 'spartan'. All the draft beer were crap micro-breweries that I've never heard of or already dislike.... and they were charging 7-8 dollars a pint~!
I asked for a "bottle of corona" and she came back with an open 355ml slim tin can of corona. Had she corrected me at the time I ordered, and mentioned they had cans, I would have changed my order to something in a bottle... but since she served it OPEN, I felt obliged to NOT send two drinks back in a row (stupid I know...) so I decided to enjoy my $8 tin can of corona (with a lime wedge in the tab of the can... classy right)
I asked our waitress (some black girl) for a glass, and instead of saying, 'sure, no problem' or something to that effect, she said "WELL, it doesn't USUALLY cone with a glass..." like I should feel like an idiot for asking, and that she'd be doing me such a HUGE favour by getting me a (lukewarm) glass.
it was the smallest rock glass i had ever seen... almost an overgrown shot glass. I held back my laughter as my date pointed out that she should probably bring a larger glass, sine even that tiny tin can wouldn't fit in such a small glass.
She returned with a glass that was the same shape and size as the tin itself (you think that would have been a no-brainer the first time...)
All things considered, my date INSISTED on paying because she felt bad for having recommended the place.
The churros were good.... I didn't really try the food.
