| - On Easter, our family normally goes out for a steak dinner. This year, we decided to try Flemings, after receiving a few gift cards over the Holidays.
We made reservations weeks in advance, which is something I would recommend btw. We arrived on time and were seated within a few minutes. We found it to be a treat to be seated near the kitchen.
The food at Fleming's was good, but the service was somewhat disorganized. In upscale steak houses, your server is always watching to see if you need anything and is very much on top of things: topping off glasses and getting a sense of timing on when to bring things out.
Here, even with four Culinary Managers walking around, our server was gone for long stretches of time. Our two glasses of wine took fifteen minutes and our salads were completely forgotten. Our server only caught the error just before our Entrées arrived.
Our meal ran in the low twos, as you would expect for a party of three, or about $70 each, not including gratuities or taxes. Our three course Prime Rib (photo) dinner ran $40.95 seemed about right, as was their Double Breast Chicken was $34.95. We also ordered the Macaroni & Cheese Lobster (photos), Creamy Spinach, Spicy Habanero Skillet Potatoes for the table.
It was inevitable that during dessert, we started comparing Fleming's to our other Easter dinners. The consensus was that Flemings was: "Three Stars, A-Okay, with no je ne said quo." when compared to other places nearby. Sorry!
