| - I came in today to get a 1 hour foot massage. I was taken right back to a room by an older woman. She started moving a chair and table around as I went to put my keys and phone on a small shelf in the corner. She actually pushed the table into me as I was going by it to reach the shelf. She had me sit on a stool and wait for the therapist.
A few minutes later, a man walked in with a bucket of water. He had me put my feet in the bucket and take my shirt off to work my shoulders. He was working my shoulders, and it was awkward as I wasn't up against anything. Every shoulder massage I've ever had I've either been laying on a table or sitting in a massage chair.
Though I came in for a foot massage, they gave me a body massage. Only about 10 minutes were spent on my feet which wasn't enough. They used hot stones at the end, but only for about 30 seconds. Not sure why they even bothered.
I went to check out and the gentleman followed me to the counter. The older woman was sitting behind it along with a younger girl. It was a $30 charge for an hour. I gave the younger girl my card & she asked if I wanted to leave a tip. I said, yes, put $6 on it. She just looked at me & didn't swipe my card. The older woman asked if something was wrong. The therapist asked, "what? You didn't like the massage?" I replied, "20% isn't enough?"
I tip well but I won't give more than 20% unless I get exceptional service, which I did not receive. The older woman never asked if I wanted a man or woman for the massage. I didn't really want a man massaging me but I was sore & had driven all the way across town to get there. There was very little privacy, the wall in my room had shoe marks all over it, the table had a strange odor, & then all 3 of them got an attitude with me over a 20% tip. I will never go back to this place again.
