I came here today for a quad-espresso. I have had their espresso before and thought it was only awful because of the style of paper cup they used. So today I requested it in a ceramic cup and you would have thought I requested my own personal room to sit in. The woman working behind the counter (somewhat rude and I refuse to call her a barista because this is a sad excuse for a coffee shop), struggled to understand what sort of ceramic mug I needed. She somehow managed to get it together enough to pull the shots of espresso. She gave it to me and then told me that the price was close to $6.00 which is pretty outrageous considering I had never paid over $3.00 for 4 shots of espresso anywhere else. But okay whatever I handed her my card and she had the audacity to tell me I needed to spend at least $7 to use my card!! Haha! Who is coming to a coffee shop to get a coffee and spending more than $7 each time to get their coffee. This obviously isn't your daily stop for coffee if you, like the rest of the world, have adapted to stepping away from paper currency and using your debit card.
Needless to say, it wasn't their awful paperish cups that made the espresso bad, it is just terrible espresso. I don't know what sort of beans they use but I'd much rather not drink espresso at all than ever try this place again. I had to get some sort of scone to raise my price above $7 and it didn't have any sort of taste to it, which is to be expected from a scone.
I hope someone opens a coffee shop in Irwin worth going to because this place certainly is not.
