Update: Went to my primary and got X-Rays, and even though my primary praised APRN Johnson's care as "gold star" my primary obliged my request. Turns out my neck pain wasn't from poor posture it's from degenerative discs in my neck, the same location I went in to have looked at.
This isn't anything against the facility itself as I have used it many times before with no issues. What it is though is a negative review of APRN Zandra Johnson. I went in due to a neck pain that has been lingering for 2 weeks. Upon entering the room Zandra asked me what was wrong when I told her she stated that it was because I had bad posture. I'll agree that at that moment in time my posture was bad as I was sitting on the table for the last 15-20 minutes. She continued her exam which consisted of feeling my spine and the muscles in my back, she then listened to my breathing and ensured that there was no loss in strength and that was it.
Instead of sending me in for an X-ray and further evaluating my pains she went to prescriptions. She offered a muscle relaxer, I informed her that I could not take muscle relaxers due to my job she still continued to prescribe the muscle relaxers along with a high grade IB Profen. She also informed me that I would be receiving a shot to reduce the inflammation. When the assisting nurse came in to give my shot I asked if there would be an X-ray, the assisting nurse said it was not ordered but she would ask. When the assistant nurse returned to discharge me I asked about an X-ray, which I was told I Zandra would not order.
It really is sad that APRN Zandra Johnson was more focused on prescribing drugs than treating my issue. About 5 hours after my shot the original symptoms have returned and the pain is still there. I guess I will wait until my next days off to attempt to get an X-ray.
As I stated, I have zero issues with the facility and have had no complaints about the staff but after the inability to listen to her patient APRN Zandra Johnson has left me no choice but to write a negative review.
