  • I had a great experience last night at this store. Everything started during the Labor Day sale at the Tempe location. Found a pair of trail shoes I really wanted (Brooks Mazama), but it turned out that someone had sold a mismatched pair and they didn't have a whole set of 8's for me. The guy there Kyle called up to this Scottsdale location and they held a pair for me. I didn't end up having time to drive up and grab them and a week and a half went by. Trail shoes are expensive so I had to wait until next payday, you know how it is. Apparently every woman in an 8 likes the Brooks Mazama! Again unable to find one at Road Runner in my size, Gregory helped me into a few different pairs to try. I finally decided to go with the Salomon Speedcross 4's. Not only was Gregory super helpful and personable, but he and Nick were able to get me the Labor Day discount on my shoes to make up for the inconvenience! I also picked up some gels and waffles for my upcoming Spartan Race. I will say that is the one thing that makes this place lose a star for me - their gel and goo and waffle selection could be more of a priority! Side note - Road Runner offers some of the best prices for their shoes, especially if you have the VIP Program. The Brooks shoes i wanted were $125 VIP here, $149 elsewhere. Same with the Salomons I ended up buying - $116 VIP at Road Runner, $130 elsewhere.
