| - Ok wow! Where do I start? These people are horrible. This is going to be a long review but stick with it. The depth of scum that they perpetrate should be criminal (and probably is).
I need an oil change because I was taking my wife on a trip to see the beach in California. She has a disease that could kill her at any time. Seeing the beach is on her bucket list.
Because she is so sick we don't have a lot of money and she has to go to so many doctors, and I have to work so much, to make up for the fact that she can't work, we hardly ever get to go anywhere. This could well be her last trip, anywhere, ever...I know this has nothing to do with Big O but you have to understand how much trouble they caused me and my wife. They DO NOT CARE.
So I find a coupon for a $15 oil change online. When I get there, there were two people ahead of me, they weren't very busy and they said my oil change would take an hour. I asked if I could run to McDonalds, since I hadn't eaten yet, (it was after noon) and grab food and come back. The guy said he couldn't hold my spot. I would be gone ten minutes as McDonalds was 1 block away. Whatever! he wouldn't hold my spot. This isn't a huge deal but just annoying. I was behind two people, I guarantee I was back before they were both done or he could give away my spot and I would wait longer. Nope! Can't do it. Okay so...
Of course when I get there, my car doesn't qualify for the coupon because my car "needs synthetic oil" and the oil change is over $50. I didn't have time to find another place, etc. so I had to get it done there. I asked them to check my tire pressure BECAUSE MY TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT IS ON!
Now, after I pay like $55 for my $15 oil change, I go get in my car and guess what? My tire pressure light IS STILL ON! I was told I would get a tire rotation and pressure check, check all my fluids, etc. I don't think they did any of it. Actually, I don't even think they did an oil change. I had to go back in, and ask them to check my pressure and the guy had me pull up to the bay myself and have the guy check and of course it was low. The pressure light went off as he was checking/filling the tires.
I usually take my car to a place I trust across town but I was in a hurry. The place I trust could have ripped my off on several occasions for a lot of money but NEVER DID. So, naturally I decided to take my car to them to do my brakes, because I know they are honest and won't over charge or screw me. My wife's credit card is the only one with enough money to pay for a brake job, so I had to get her out of bed, early one morning to follow me over. I had to take time off work and get my SICK and COULD DIE AT ANY TIME wife OUT OF BED FOR THIS!!!
We drove the 25 minutes to my HONEST MECHANIC, dropped off the car and on the way home (about halfway home), he calls me and says, "YOUR BRAKES ARE FINE!!" The rears are about 40% and the fronts 60%. You don't need brakes for a while, he says. I turn around, go back down there, he topped off my oil and said, "YOUR OIL WAS VERY LOW SO WE TOPPED IT OFF"! Really? I had an oil change about 1 month ago and my oil was low? This is why I think that Big 0 (that's a zero and not the letter O as far as I am concerned), didn't do an oil change AND CHARGED ME $50!!!!
I lost time from work, had my SICK WIFE OUT OF BED AND WASTED MY TIME AND MONEY FOR NOOOOTTTTHHHIING!
If any legal people see this review and need me as a witness for a class action law suit, I am all over it. Big 0, are crooks, cheats and liars and by the way, this is not the first time they have lied to me. They once told me I needed shocks/struts, well, my brother-in-law is a mechanic and he told me I didn't. Big 0 wanted to charge me like $1400 or something outrageous for something I didn't need. CROOKS!!!!!!!!!!
The mechanic I go to didn't charge me for time or oil. I paid nothing for him to check my car and top off my oil. He also told me MY CAR DOES NOT REQUIRE SYNTHETIC OIL, another lie from BIG ZERO! Never going there again and I recommend no one goes there, EVER!
