I had to think really hard about writing this review. My dog has been a patient there for a year now and I never had any issues until today.
I brought my dog in to this office to have her vaccines and get her nails trimmed. They always take her to the back room with a muzzle on, because she can be very nervous and she just seems to do better when I am not present. When they brought her back to the room after her shots and trimming her nails, I noticed that one of her claws on her left paw was bleeding. I realized right away that they had cut into the quick. When I mentioned her bleeding, the vet tech stated that "she must have snagged her claw on the muzzle". She said something else that was really stupid about how my dog wouldn't let them touch that one and that it must be her "sacred claw". I don't remember the exact wording, but I didn't appreciate the patronizing tone.
The tech went and got me gauze with peroxide on it for me to clean her bloody claw up with. I then realized that the same claw on the right foot was also bleeding. The tech tried to play it off and said something along the lines of, "we'll take her back and have the doctor look at it to see what's going on with her claws". I know the doctor then put styptic powder on her bleeding, and it stopped after that. Nothing more was said to me about the whole thing.
I don't appreciate being lied to, and I don't appreciate being treated like I'm stupid. They made a mistake. I understand that can happen. However, to not only be dishonest but to stand there and try to make things up to cover your mistake, frankly it just pisses me off.
I'll be finding another vet.
