| - After a long day at work, flying in from Boston, only to have my connecting flight canceled in Charlotte, I was tired, hungry, and frustrated. Needing someplace to spend the night, I called the airport Sheraton. They said the shuttle bus will pick me up right away. Waited for about 45 minutes, meanwhile other hotel shuttles actually came by two or three times. By the time I finally got to the hotel, it was about 1 AM. There was only one overworked person at the reception. It took about 30 minutes to check in. The bar/restaurant was closed. The only room service was cold sandwiches. Come on Sheraton! You can do better than that. I had a delicious meal of vending machine snacks (pork rinds and trail mix, the soda machine would not accept my quarters and I was all out of $1 bills) and went to bed. The bed was quite comfy, the room was clean and quiet, and when I got up five hours later to continue my trip, I felt reasonably rested. Overall, three stars. The room was acceptable, but the amenities were lacking.
