  • We have dined and taken out from Mr. Chao's many times. What a gem of a find in Ahwatukee; an area fairly devoid of high quality locally owned restaurants. Chao's is the rare exception. The service has always been excellent and the food is always great. All the ingredients are clearly fresh and each plate made to order. Spices were alive and spot on. We have had a good deal of the menu and have never been disappointed. I will say the hot and sour soup is seriously one of the (if not the best) I have had anywhere. One of my go to favorites is the fresh basil and abalone mushrooms with chicken and I highly recommend it. This is seriously one of the best restaurants in the area. Really, stop in and try this hidden little gem, you won't be sorry!!!
