| - its a bit out of the way, but like Big Wong, it has a menu full of comfort foods I grew up with
décor is a bit like some of the restaurants you would find in san Francisco Chinatown
menu is mainly Cantonese dishes, with quite a few Chinese-American style ones that could have come straight from the movie "A Christmas Story"!
my family ran a Chinese American style restaurant when I was young, so although it's not really Chinese food, I will order some of the dishes like shrimp foo young, almond duck, and shrimp Cantonese just to reminisce :-)
other than that, they do have some of my go to comfort dishes like bitter melon (which I despised as a kid), won ton soup (pretty good version), roast duck, etc.
I do enjoy stopping by here when I am on this side of town.
pretty fast service, not real expensive!
I know they run lunch specials, but normally don't order those...
