  • When we travel we usually book a La Quinta but we had some bad experiences with them as of late. Enter Hyatt Place. Great location but a bit far from the rest of central Phoenix, close to restaurants (mall across the street) and shopping centers (mall, Walmart and Target, as well as a Costco). Upon arrival I realized that I didn't have my license with me but they allowed me to use my teacher credentials and photo to check in, thanks for that. The room was a good size for my party of four. The only problem with the room was the bathroom didn't have a lock and one could see in. The breakfast was good and had a good spread. We only used the pool once and it was clean. Overall a great stay during Spring Break. Btw if you are a Costco Member, get the discount from their travel website.
