| - I have been banking with AZFCU for 19 years. This location, by far is the up most worse location I have ever been to. You are rarely greeted when entering (except if it is first thing in the morning, when the tellers are just getting in). On Friday's....forget it, your lucky if they make eye contact.
When you are standing in line waiting forever for your turn (because there are only 2 tellers on a good day), you get the lovely sound of someone cashing in their change at the annoying coinstar machine. Because a lobby that echoes is a great place to do this. What happened to rolling your change, stop being lazy people, it's annoying and loud, that's the last noise I want to hear when having to wait in line for 10 minutes.
When you finally make it to the teller line you hear "NEXT", coming from a blank faced teller that has no want in being there, at all. There is no "I can help you over here ma'am, how is your day going?" Or "Welcome to Arizona Federal, what can I do for you today?"
My last experience was depositing a check that was made out to my husband and myself. I signed it (he was out of town) the teller told me she couldn't deposit it because my husband didn't sign it....no "let me ask" "let me get my manager" "maybe we can do something." We have a joint account and the money in the account to cover the check...I told her to get her manager or I was going scratch off my signature and write deposit only on the back, then she was going to deposit it. She gave me a dirty look and went to ask her manager. After waiting...and waiting....and waiting, she came back and said she could deposit it. With a smerk..she grabbed a stamp, stamped the back and said "the good'ol failure to endorse stamp.
I told her I don't care what she stamps it with, just deposit it. It's not about the check...I know there are rules, procedures, and policies. It's is their attitude and how they treat people. The only reason I stay at this bank is because it is on the corner by my house. I have opened my kids accounts elsewhere and have been thinking about switching.
The bank overall isn't a bad bank, this location, however, needs to take customer service classes.
