| - Our entire experience was FAR less than amazing and we're in a loaner vehicle for 2 weeks now!!! The sales guys are friendly and knowledgeable want to help you, but they are in the business of sales, right? We were OVER promised and UNDER delivered, which is scary when your paying 40,000 for promises of a safely operating vehicle and then majorly inconvenienced.
A small list of minor mechanical issues along with a major issue of "toasted" shocks was what we found after being PROMISED a "perfect mechanical operating vehicle inspection." We had immediate cause for great concern. We've had the vehicle back there 2 times and I have been in a loaner vehicle for 2 weeks now...
I could write a LONG review of our story and how strongly disappointed we are with the expectations we were given and what we received, but I will keep it short. The bottom line is that we were given a vehicle that was half a** wiped down and in no way detailed like it should have been and, we were told it would be. There is NO WAY the vehicle, had it NOT been sold to us, would it had been placed on the lot in that condition. It was filthy dirty still, with stains in the carpets, trash and food crumbs everywhere, caked on dirt in every crevice, dog hair in the carpets and air vents, basically everywhere and leather seats that were dryer that the desert. After requesting the vehicle be RE inspected, we were told the shocks were TOAST! How were we not notified of this, or better yet, how did this get over looked and PASS mechanical inspection for "perfection." I was shocked knowing that my family of 5 was driving around town in a vehicle that is NOT SAFE to be driving. We immediately knew something was off from the test drive, but when mentioned we were told, it had worn tires and those would be replaced and it would solve the "rough ride." Well, it didn't and we were all hitting the roof with a loud BANG every little tiny bump in the road, does that not SCREAM something is wrong!
Now, we've been in a loaner vehicle for 2 weeks, the dealership has agreed to the minor repairs and we are sincerely grateful for that. However; they have "disapproved" the shocks and NO ONE from management has reached out to us. My husband and I have made several attempts to speak to the GM to discuss and we've been told every excuse including: he's not at his desk, just stepped away, out to lunch, left for the day, client just stepped in his office and my husband has left voice mails for him with no returned call.
I would love to update this review with the fact that Autonation Chevrolet has made this whole fiasco right; however given that we have not heard a response in days, I'm highly doubtful. Did I mention that we could KICK ourselves for giving Autonation a try now, even though a large part of our family works in management at a few other California Chevrolet / GM dealerships and we could have went through them...
