I went to the Kitchen wanting to re-experience a dish I've had before--the baby potatoes served with saffron aioli. I have fond memories of eating these small yellow potatoes, smashed slightly at the top and fried, served with a richly spiced aioli. Such a simple dish but so indulgent. I was ready. On this second visit, however, I didn't receive my beloved crunchy starch UFOs...I got regular unfried baby potatoes and with an aoili that was COLD and clearly just pulled from the FRIDGE! How the Kitchen took the most perfect manifestation of bar food potatoes and turned it into some sad deli item is beyond me. For future visits to Atomic, I'll be sticking with drinks.
