| - I used to give this restaurant very high marks based on the deliciousness of one particular dish (the Panang curry with chicken) and one particular cocktail (the skinny margarita). Both were indisputably top shelf. But lately, the service has gone downhill at this location, and they have also altered the way they prepare the dish (which one should never do when one has perfection).
Brought my daughter there last night for dinner and it was very disappointing. After taking our order, our waitress basically abandoned us. We had to flag her down just to get a spoon - never saw her again after that. Asked the server who brought the food to please bring a chopped jalapeno; she never returned and no one brought the item.
When it was time to pack up, we waited forever for some help, and when we finally got someone to attend to us, it took another century to get the process completed. I'm thinking it's a management issue, but I don't know what's going on behind the scenes there.
The Panang curry had a ton of green beans this time, no broccoli (the broccoli was one of the best parts), underdone potatoes, and just wasn't nearly as "soupy" as it used to be.
Sad - such a let down. I'll try the True Food over at Scottsdale Quarter soon to see if it's just an issue with the Biltmore location, or it's it's truly time to say goodbye to one of my very favorite meals in the Phoenix area.
