I'm not sure which UPS office delivered my package, but I was pissed b/c I had returned a ring to a jewelry company for resizing (roughly worth $1,000). I was waiting on the status of the return, and never got e-mail verification from the ring company. I called them and their records showed my ring arrived Tuesday morning and was "released to other," but she was unable to tell me what that meant. B/c of the cost involved with this ring, a signature is required upon receipt (unless released), but UPS had marked it as released and okay to leave in front of my front door. What would have happened if someone came and stole my ring? How could we (Me or my fiance') have POSSIBLY released this ring to be left on our front stoop if we didn't even know it was coming?!?!? I'm SO upset that their lazy delivery person put my ring on my front stoop without actually confirming its release.
