  • one of the worst property management companies i have ever used. if i could give them less than 1 star i would certainly do that. we rented a house with them for 3 years. they were always nice and helpful. now when we moved into this house which was about 7 years old, the carpet had never been changed. the trouble began with them when we told them we were moving out because we needed to move closer to my inlaws for health reasons. we spent 3 full days cleaning the house. we have never left a property in bad shape. we knew that we had stains on the carpet. they had told us not to worry about it because they ALWAYS replace carpet after about 5 years and when we decided to move, the carpet was 10 years old and needed replaceing anyway. so we didnt worry about it. we always get the carpet steam cleaned. so other than the stains in the living room and bedroom it was in great shape. i also made a request for touchup paint so that we could touch up the walls. they said not to worry about the walls. we had paid about 13-1400 for our deposits. we got less than a hundred dollars back. i was appalled. i took pictures after we had cleaned it. i even took pics of the frig inside. i do admit i didnt wipe down the walls and baseboards. but everything else was ok. like i said we cleaned for 3 complete days. so it turns out that they charged us 90 bucks to 'touch up' the walls. i could have bought a gallon of paint and done it myself but they said not to worry about it. if i had known what they would charge i would have. and then they had the audacity to charge us for new carpet. even if we didnt have stains on the carpet it would have been replaced regardless since it was 10 years old. it was insane. so we took them to court. i cant prove it but i believe that they did some dirtying up of the place and took pics because it was just not as dirty as they claimed. we were not given the chance to see their pics but i know that they did something. we did get some money back but it was only because they could not explain the charge for something for 200 bucks so the judge gave us that back but that was it. there was certainly something fishy going on in that courtroom. we had never been in small claims court and didnt know the process. i cannot believe that the judge believed her pics over ours. but these people treated us great until we decided to move. then they turned on us. i would not recommend them to anyone. you'd think that we were bad renters. we were great renters. except for one time that we were late when i lost my job, we had NEVER been late or not paid our rent in 3 years. i am almost 60 years old and have never not gotten back ALL of my deposits. do NOT rent from these people. bad bad people to deal with!
