So happy this place finally opened!
I've been here twice now & really like what I tasted. They're now serving 3 of their own brews (in addition, they serve beers from several local breweries). First time I came I had Berthas Best Bitters (an ESB) and really enjoyed it. The last time I was here I tried the Desert Rose (a Kolsch), which I LOVED (I got a growler of this one as well). This beer has a very distinct pink color (sounds strange, I know!). Apparently it's made w/prickly pear. I thought it was interesting to add an ingredient associated w/this region to a beer made in a brewery that does everything local in order to make it distinct.
The place itself is small (seating wise at least). There's a ton of tanks for brewing, which seem to take up most of the space. There's a large wooden bar & about 3 or 4 long wooden table w/about 8-10 seats each.
If you happen to come here w/non-beer drinkers (gasp!) they do serve a couple local wines as well. I believe the white is AZ Stronghold (which I've always liked) & the red is Dos Cabezas. They also have a local cider.
I really hope this place does well. I love what they've done to this part of Old Town between this place, Sip, Brat Haus & Union Barrelhouse. All these places are much more laid back & not what you typically think of when you're in this part of Scottsdale.
