  • I was so excited when this store opened in March, I have been getting my service for my 2017 Legacy done here for the last 4 months instead of going to the Scottsdale store. The service department has been great the last 2 oil changes. I went in there tonight with my husband to look at a used truck they had on their lot, I will NEVER step foot in this dealership again to purchase a vehicle or get service on my exciting Subaru, I will be going back to Scottsdale Subaru. Tonight when I walked in to the Surprise Subaru store at 5:30, I was not greeted by anyone. For me that is not a problem because I do not like it when the sales person is at your car door before you open it. We made our way to the front door where we were greeted by Joe, he is an older gentleman and seemed nice. We told him the vehicle we were looking at and after some time (15 or so minutes), he retrieved it and brought it to the front of the store where we went on a test drive. When we returned back to the dealership we went back and sat down and our sales person took the information on our trade. We gave him all the information and they went out to look at our car, by this time it was 6:03. I can recall the exact time because a very rude, ignorant and unprofessional gentleman (and I use that term loosely) walked through the front of the store and asked in a rather loud voice, "Why are all these people here at 6:00". I could not believe what I was hearing. Our salesman came back again and asked us some follow up questions about our trade and let us know it would be a while as there were others in front of us for a trade evaluation. About 10 minutes later Joe our salesman called for my husband from the front of the store, evidently it was to much to walk back to his desk to politely ask him to go back outside so John the Sales Manager could look at our trade. It was at this point I collected our things and caught up with my husband. My husband was accompanying the sale manager on a test drive of our vehicle. When they returned I informed the sales manager of the events of our visit thus far and that I had never felt so unwanted as a CUSTOMER in my life. I also went on to inform him that my husband spent 10 years of his life in sale and management in the car world and that we have countless friend still in it and that his personnel needs to be educated at their next morning meeting about what a job in the car world really is. People in the car industry make very good money, but with that comes long hours and when someone walks into a dealership at about 5:30 it is not appropriate to broadcast at 6:00 why are these people here. To answer your question "WE" the people there at the dealership to look at your inventory to see if you have a vehicle that matches our needs. "WE" the people there at the dealership are there to purchase vehicles to pay your paychecks. And lastly "WE" the people there at the dealership are here because our salesman takes forever to go from point A to point B and has since of any kind of urgency or collecting all the information he needs at one time. I have never felt so unwanted as a customer. I have never felt such unprofessionalism from a customer driven industry. These are grown adults, not teenagers at a fast food restaurant. I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN THIS DEALERSHIP AGAIN!!!!
