| - Even though I fly out of PHX pretty frequently, I haven't been to this airport lounge in a while because their previous hours were pretty sparse. I'm pretty sure they closed at 3 pm. But luckily for me, they just recently extended their hours to 5 am to 11:30 pm. The previous Club at PHX is now the British Airways Lounge, and the new one (which is accessible by Priority Pass) is right next door. The new lounge feels much bigger and airier, though seating and decor is still pretty plain, and electrical sockets are still few and far between. But you can definitely tell there have been some upgrades, and this is now on par with most US lounges. The bar had a good selection of standard liquors - namely Tanqueray and Jack Daniels as opposed to cheaper well liquors. The two bartenders that were on actually walked around bussing dishes and offering another round of drinks, which was definitely a nice touch. Instead of the sad oatmeal cups and saran wrapped apples in the previous lounge, there was a nice selection of veggies, hummus, pitas, olives and pasta salads at the buffet. There was also assorted popcorn, trail mix, Nature Valley and Fiber One granola bars, and a decent selection of chips, including my very favorite Miss Vickie's salt and vinegar chips. This is definitely a comfortable place to spend a couple hours before your flight. I Probably wouldn't pay for entrance if I didn't have priority Pass, especially when it's right across from Cowboy Ciao, which serves up the greatest chopped salad you'll ever eat!
