  • I started going to Dr. Tabassi 3 years ago when I was pregnant - she is nice, but her staff is incompetent. I have always expected wait times when seeing her, so that's not my issue (although it is quite annoying to wait hours for every routine visit). The past 2 years in a row, her office has sent my routine yearly Pap to the wrong lab, even though they know which labs my insurance covers for what is supposed to be a 100% covered test. This last time, I told 2 separate staff members to NOT send my test to Unipath and to please send it to the correct lab and both nodded and said no problem. Guess where they sent it? So now I have pay out of pocket for a test that is supposed to be fully covered. I finally got someone at the office on the phone after several unreturned messages and she didn't seem to care at all - she finally agreed to call Unipath and see if she could work something out for me, but she never did so I had to suck it up and pay. The office is either getting kickbacks from the lab or they just flat out don't care about their patients and pay absolutely no attention to detail. I will not be returning. I will be looking into filing a complaint with the medical board.
