| - It's often that I do a review on a place that's had terrible reviews and I just scratch my head and wonder, since my experience is usually very different. I don't doubt myself, so I think a lot of people that review on Yelp are entitled malcontents that seem to overreact.
Anyway, that rant being done, I've gone to this Frys for years. I've never had anyone bother me in the parking lot (I'm responding to other reviews here). Yes, there's an occasional shady person or a homeless person, but compared to most cities, this area of Phoenix is just working class, nothing more or less. I don't usually go here at night, but there isn't any place in this metro area that's any safer at night.
I like this store better than the Safeway a mile away, as the staff are nicer and more helpful while Safeway staff have a bad attitude. The prices at Frys are good, the gas points and a bank here are helpful and the pharmacy is vastly better than Walgreens in every way; I switched here from Walgreens years ago.
The only thing I would fault is that it's produce and flower section don't have enough variety compared to other supermarkets. However, the rest of it is better than average.
