My husband was frequently told that this was a pretty good mexican market. My first impressions of a good mexican market is low prices, good meat selection, and a variety of grocery store products not sold in general markets.
I'm always looking for good prices on produce and to be honest I thought theirs was a little on the high side for the condition ( small, bruised, etc). They did carry different produce than the traditional markets ( hey I saw a pallet of cactus).I was impressed with their meat prices and selection. I would definitely come back for the meats because they do offer oxtails, and short ribs, etc.
I think the prices on some things can be ridiculous if you compare it to WinnCo. For example, dried beans are a little expensive. Things in the middle aisle can most of the time be purchased somewhere else cheaper. I was able to find some interesting drinks I haven't had in forever. I purchased a calamansi, and a guava drink.
Cleanliness of the market needed some work in the areas. I don't think the place is being swept as much as traditional markets.
