Being short requires a good tailor on hand. In the past, I've brought a dozen pair of pants to a particular spot and ended up with expensive, butchered pants (RIP!) And so the hunt begins..
I came across this place on Yelp and given the good reviews and the fact that it's geographically close-enough, I decided to give it a try! I brought five pairs of pants in that have been sitting in a corner for ages waiting for a tailor to give them the TLC they needed. The woman inside was very friendly and helpful. The place itself is not glamorous by any means, but gets the job done. I tried on every pair of pants and she helped me determine the perfect length to hem them. I also had two pairs of long pants that I wanted made into capris and tapered at the bottom (the skinny pants look), but didn't think they would turn out great as the material was patterned, so you would be able to see where material would have been removed. Either way, I explained to her what I needed and left them with her. I came back about a week later to pick them up (I was in no rush) and was thoroughly impressed with the work done! You could not tell that ANY of the pants had been altered, modified or hemmed. And what an excellent job on the tricky long-to-capris I asked for!
The woman and her husband own the place. She is there running the day-to-day (usually with her kids) and her husband comes in to do the tailoring. Hemming pants is $5 for dress pants and $7 for jeans - excellent prices! To modify pants to capris is a bit more, but that was a whole other beast. They did an excellent job and are now my go-to tailors! I recommended them to a few of my friends, and recommend them to the Yelp community! Fantastic quality work!
