Granted, this was my first time at the Old Spaghetti Factory in Toronto. I'd recently been to the one in Vancouver and quite enjoyed it. Toronto's is true to shtick...antiques, a tram etc. I found it very engaging. There was no end of things to look at. I ordered the lasagna, which was ample, cheesy to the extreme, and a bit short on tomato sauce. But it was very very good. Service was prompt and friendly. I hemmed and hawed about where to have dinner before the opera, and decided I was craving cheese and tomato sauce. No better place. The pub next door (Scotland Yard) was also quite nice and low key. Dinner, BTW, was pasta, caesar salad, a coke and ice-cream: $21.00 Not bad.
