  • Technician was very polite, prompt and informative. "Service" department, was something else. Home warranty service call. I was told by warranty company that I would not have to pay another deductible, as this was a second visit after first repair did not fully fix issue. Technician asked about payment, I said they told me I would not have to pay, so he said if it was a problem then Scmidts would call. I got one vm the next day but did not return it thinking they would work it out with call to home warranty company. No other contact from them for several days, so I take it as resolved. Until I received email threat last night - "We took a service work order from your home warranty and also installed our parts, so if I don't receive a check in the mail by Wednesday June 20th we will send over our tech to pull our parts that we paid for ourselves. Please call in a credit card or submit on this email to take care of this problem. Also so you are aware, if I let your home warranty know they will cancel your insurance policy." This came from Debbie, evidently the owner. I replied with what my understanding was about the deductible, but that I had called and talked with home warranty and we together determined that it was indeed a separate repair and part and therefore would require another deductible and asked her to reply with a number to call and I would pay the fee this morning. I then STILL received another vm from a Randy transcribed as follows, more threats: "Yes, this message is for Mr. Newhouse. This is Randy with Schmidt CC Service Company. We have a Dilemma here. We put in a very expensive motor and take a pic cetera. Very expensive and Dave subtracted from me the copay that you haven't paid us. So I really got to have that page so I can close this out or should you not want to pay us then you weren't happy lesson and then I'll have a technician come out and pull the parts bag out in anyway with anything. So let me know today what you want to do. Thank you. Randy wish mitts ac service 480-641-5100. Thank you." It's unfortunate that the numerous negative reviews here are directed at one or two individuals and that the people doing the real work, the techs, absorb the reputation despite providing good customer service and all the legwork in 110 deg. So its natural consequences. You bark at me, you get a bad review and lose my business. Not very smart.
