Myself and my company have been a customer for years. The aroma of the place and all of its little confections are quite welcoming indeed. One thing they've been failing at terribly is customer service and barista bar quality. It's sometimes tough to get waited on even with nobody in the store. The girls working the counter treat you as a nuisance who is interrupting their time on their phones. It's gotten bad, but This past weekend I went in to order an espresso. The girl working barista was cold, rude and served me the worst excuse for an espresso that I have ever had in my life. She clearly has no clue, pride or care in coffee making. I take the time to write a review hoping they will improve. It's embarrassing having tourists staying at the Fairmont, or anywhere else, walk to Market Square and expect a great coffee or espresso from a quaint little shop but instead receive rude treatment and terrible espresso. I hope they address the issue. We do buy at least 10lb of beans a month there, probably more.
