This is a review of the weekend brunch (until 3pm).
The Wicked Spoon is the best buffet in Vegas if you're a foodie, adventurous eater or you want something different but a lot of variety. If you're looking for a standard buffet with comfort food in big dishes, don't come here. If you're looking for a cheap meal, don't come here. However, if you're looking for a great culinary experience in a buffet format, then you must try this out.
The set up is unique where (almost) everything is served in little dishes. There are a selection of salads each served in a bow. The eggs benedict was served in a tiny dish. Corn on the cob was in a tiny pot. The fried chicken was in a tiny fry basket. There was rice in tiny rice "to go" containers. It's really smart. Everything is already prepared and you take what you want. There is less waste and you get bites of everything.
Some of the highlights:
- Angry mac and cheese
- Fried chicken
- Bacon
- Eggs benedict
- Pasta dishes in tiny pots
- Korean bbq short ribs and spare ribs
- 5 types of carved meats
- Interesting salads
- Omelet station
- Cheese plate, fruit and nut station
- A variety of desserts
- Gelato bar (about 12 varieties)
Everything I ate was phenomenal. I felt like I ate 4 different meals because of the variety.
Price: $40 included unlimited champagne, mimosa or bloody mary and tax.
Wait: The worst part of this place is the wait. At 10:30am on a Saturday I waited about an hour total. There is a line to pay the cashier and a line to be seated. The earlier you get here the better as the line was ridiculous at 2pm.
Service: The service was decent but they were really busy.
Drinks: For $8 more upgrade to the unlimited champagne. It's totally worth it. I noticed they're not quick to refill you and they discourage just champagne but I got four glasses and felt tipsy when leaving. Also, the champagne was amazing. It was really good.
I can't wait to go back to Vegas just to eat here again.
