I wasn't impressed when I went there for my first time last month....the al a carte ordering was a drag...was expecting bread with my portions of meat or at least the option of ordering a side of toast or corn muffin...none of which is available and is usually standard with a bbq type meal! The service was really good tho...the girl asked if we had been there before in which we replied no and even though it was quite busy she gave us some samples of the meat. Because we didn't want just piles of meat on a plate we opted for the sandwiches (brisket and pulled pork). We also order 2 ears of corn, the refrigerated prepackaged Coleslaw and a sausage link. The corn tasted like it had previously been frozen and thawed out...the coleslaw was very dry and almost flavorless but the sausage link was great! The brisket and the pulled pork were average. You aren't given sauce on your meat at time of purchase. You have 2 bottles (2 separate options/flavors) at each table. Both bottles were very dirty and the pour spouts on them weren't made for thick sauce. We weren't able to get any sauce out of the one container so opted for only one flavor. Where as famous Daves has 6 flavors, corn bread, tx toast options. (I can go on and on). So I wasn't impressed and prob won't go back or recommend it.
I was VERY impressed at their military appreciation discount tho!
