I was pleasantly surprised about this pub in terms of food. I wasn't expecting much, just thinking that it was the same in the long line of other Firkin pubs.
We came on a Friday afternoon as we went to another restaurant in the area and we were still hungry. We decided on this place to satisfy our hunger.
We were seated promptly in the back of the restaurant in a booth. The waitress brought us the menu right away and we made our decision fairly quickly.
Good: The Chicken Curry with Naan was actually pretty good. I wasn't expecting the dish to be as good as it was especially in a pub. This was their daily special.
The wings were on point and for a pub to screwup chicken wings should be a crime.
The Bad: The Shrimp and Calamari platter. Nothing special and was more heavily battered than I would like.
The Ugly: The parking in this area is atrocious with only street parking available in the front on Avenue.
The service was attentive and prompt and it's too bad that this place is not closer to us. Way better than Gabbys in Yonge Street.
