| - At Christmas, my boss took myself and coworkers for a christmas lunch at Lawry's in Las Vegas. It was, without a doubt, the best prime rib I have ever enjoyed. The bad news is, I will never be satisfied with anything less. Since it was Christmas they had a group of carolers going from table to table taking requests! it was awesome we had them sing the hippopotamus song and Dreidel Dreidel. The establishment is decorated in classic Art Deco style, and the service is something straight out of the Gilded Age. We ordered appetizers; mine was the giant shrimp cocktail. Our waitress mixed the salad with a theatrical flourish right at the table. Then a waiter came to the table with a cart resembling a miniature 1930s Airstream trailer, which opened to reveal a huge roast, from which he carved servings of the requested degree of doneness. This was served with an exquisite Yorkshire pudding and, in my case, creamed spinach. Unfortunately, I didn't have room for dessert but I got some anyways...the Creme Brûlée, which was sublime.
