Yesterday afternoon (Saturday August 8) I made the unfortunate mistake of hopping out of my truck with my iPhone 6Plus in my lap causing it fall screen down onto the pavement and rocks. Upon searching Craigslist, one of the first ads I came across was Mobile Device Docs. Their price was good and they appeared to be professional after checking out their website and some of their reviews. While in the process of booking my appointment via their website I had a question about some of the service options so I gave them a call. I spoke with Jeremiah who was helpful in leading me towards what service I needed to have done. I asked him if I should schedule the appointment with him while we were on the phone or just continue with the online appointment and he replied, "you can just continue booking online since you've already started filling it out. If you see a time there it's available and we'll be there!" It turns out that statement couldn't be any further from the truth; 30 minutes after scheduling the appointment I received a text message, not a phone call but a text message, asking if I could reschedule for Monday. The first excuse was that his brother was exhausted, and then after I cancelled the appointment entirely the second excuse was a scheduling error. Simply put, this was bad business and a terrible experience. I called another place, We Mac It Better, and for $10 more I got the phone repair and customer service I was looking for. He showed up 45 minutes after I cancelled my appointment with Mobile Device Docs and completed the repair in under 30 minutes. If you choose to use Mobile Device Docs I hope your experience is much better than mine but I will not be recommending them to anyone, ever.
