  • There is nothing bad to possibly say about Hale. This summer, I started an internship in the neighbourhood and was super unfamiliar with anywhere I could grab coffee that wasn't from a convenience store dispenser. Not only did I find the best coffee I've ever had in the city, I found the most kind staff, most knowledgeable staff, delicious food (with vegan options), and a place to add to my daily routine that made me feel right at home. Everyone at Hale always has a smile on their face and delivers coffee that is made PERFECTLY. I never knew what a latte done right tasted like till Hale. The baristas were also phenomenal and helped me troubleshoot why the coffee from my chemex didn't taste super great, and now I use their beans at home since I live a fair bit too far to commute as often as I'd like. Whenever I have friends coming to Toronto, I always tell them it's worth going a bit out of their way to visit hale. Also love that they have really awesome bike parking and awesome seating.
