| - Anyone who knows me knows I am obsessed with my dog. She was a rescue and came with A LOT of baggage. Over the past year we have been working with her on a lot of things, and she has come a long way, but some things she may never grow out of. One of those is severe stranger anxiety and fear. She is terrified of leaving me for strangers, and feels abandoned. Due to this she often looses control of her bowels and goes everywhere.
This is the second place, and the only place we take her to now. Every time we enter they are welcoming, kind, and accommodating. I always warn them that she is handful and apologize like crazy. (As a Canadian I often can't help saying sorry frequently.) They ALWAYS welcome her with open arms, comfort her, and comfort me. That was big to me. When I bring her here, it isn't about me, but they make it about us. Being a teacher I teach the child, but you are there for the whole family. They follow this method too.
The last time I went in my pup was extra nervous for reasons unknown. She couldn't stop pooping everywhere, and was so sad it broke my heart. I apologized and offered anything. The last at the front assured me that it was no ones fault, and everything was okay. She sat there and help my crying pooping dog while she trimmed her nails and soothed her. Then when it was over the cleaned her up and handed her over.
She suggested bringing her in more often to help her become less nervous, which I completely agree with.
I know that was NOT what they were hoping for on a slow afternoon, but they handled it with such grace and kindness. I can't see myself looking for anywhere else to take her.
I am very grateful for this place, and the kind individuals who work here.
Besides the great people and service, the prices are VERY affordable. $5 for nails, and $5 for her anal glands. Never had anything else done here, but I would assume their other prices follow similar patterns of being affordable.
