  • This property management company has me a lil confused. They were very helpful and friendly when I was applying to rent a property. The agent I met with was accommodating as far as meeting me to deal with paperwork. He answered all my questions and concerns and expedited the process. The confusion I am having is now that I am their customer, their customer service has fallen off in the way of dealing with the maintenance department. The property had a broken fixture. I called the maintenance department and spoke to a man who claimed to be the owner of time2rent. I explained that a fixture was leaking profusely and to stop the leak I had to shut the water main to the entire house off. His response to me was, "Well it was off!", as if I wasn't supposed to use a fixture I pay to use. He huffed and told me to call a local plumber and he would authorize the repair. I said fine and did just that even though I shouldn't have to call anyone other than the maintenance department of time2rent. The company I called to do the fix said they need the authorization to come from the management company so I put the plumber in contact with the maintenance department. After two hours passed my wife gets a phone call from the Plummer saying they weren't authorized to fix the problem. So my wife called the owner/maintenance man of time2rent and he began scolding her for calling the plumber we did. Said it was the most expensive one in the valley and said he didn't authorize the fix. We had no idea what the cost would be through that plumber and frankly it wasn't our responsibility to call for one in the first place. We pay time2rent to do that. She was in tears when I found out about the conversation she had with him. This was the second time he exhibited poor customer service and general decency. After hearing from my wife about the conversation she had with the owner of time2rent I was pissed. I called the owner of time2rent and asked what the problem was. He told me I should buy a part to block the flow of water coming from the fixture and that he was arranging for a plumber of his liking to fix the problem. He said I would be reimbursed for the part so I did go out to purchase it. A few hours passed and a plumber showed up and fixed the problem. We have lived in this property for 15 days and to be honest I'm more than concerned about being stuck in a contract with a company that has an owner I have to deal with and treats his customers in this manner. So from me to future potential customers of time2rent, beware of the maintenance man/owner unless you like abusive treatment. I have been treated like crap from many businesses but this is unacceptable.
