  • Wow...what a horrible experience at this dealership!! I was lloking for a decent used car. We saw a couple of used cars on autotrader.com that were being advertized at Mark Kia. We drove clear from the west valley to Scottsdale to look at a car they had. The car seemed to be good during the test drive. BUT.... Here was the start of our problems. FIRST, the price listed on the internet ($5998) was about $2000 cheaper than they were trying to sell it for. I told them I was not able or willing to pay a dime over $6000 and they agreed. We sat down to do the paperwork, and they handed me a contract with a price of $9500!! They tried charging me $1900 for "window tinting and accesories"..on a used car that ALREADY had the windows tinted and NO extra "accessories" . THEY did not pay to have the windows tinted or add any accesories. Do they really think that I am that dumb? Plus they tried to sneak in all of these other fees and charges! Needless to say, once I refused all the extra fees, they agreed to the original price, but after that my sales guy acted like a sulky teenager! THEN, their financing guy PROMISED me that it was okay to write a check that he would not cash it until Tuesday (this was Thursday when I bought the car) , so I had time to get the money into my account to cover the check. Well guess what? they cashed the check on MONDAY and made me overdraft my account!! And last, but not least, I took the car directly to my mechanic and spent $800 on shocks and struts, which I undertsand on a used car, you have to expect some things needing to be done, by my mechanic said the engine oil was VERY DIRTY! Mark Kia could have at least done an oil change before selling the car. They offered me free oil changes for a year, but I don't ever want to go back there. They can keep their free oil changes. They make a bad name for used car dealers. I wish I would looked at these other yelp reviews before I went there. Anyway, there are too many other places to buy a used car. Don't waste your time here.
