  • I appreciate a book store to peruse, shop and entertain. The local Las Vegas website, My Vegas Mommy, informed me of a huge summer close out. So, get out of the house and make book shopping a kid-friendly activity. Although we purchase many items online, the experience of walking along the aisles at a book store is enchanting and inspiring. Besides a spontaneous visit on any random day, I look for special events. The Rainbow Promenade Barnes and Noble offers Mondays, Young Readers Book Club at 7:00 PM. Saturdays, Children's Story time at 11:00 AM. I think B&N is an asset to the northwest. I find great birthday gifts, enjoy the cafĂ©, and look forward to more events to celebrate language, arts, culture and literacy.
