| - Do we have to give a star? Smdh! I wish I could give none at all. This company is a freaking joke I tell you !! Oh, yes, they try hard to advertise amazing services but...a lot is hidden! These people are thieves!!! When I came in to subscribe to a membership, I ran into very smiley people who tell you you are going to have the best time of your life here... well this is the worst service experience I have had !!
I wanted a temporary membership, knowing that I would only stay a few month in Vegas because I had to go back to my own country, I was only in Vegas for a few months to study (and I told the lady that was promoting me the memberships!!!) So, the best offer she had for me was a 2-year membership. I asked the girl if I could cancel anytime without fees, she said the only fee would be $50 dollars and you can cancel anytime.
I decided to go for that membership. Gosh I wish I didn't subscribe!!
As other people have previously mentionned, once you're in and you want to cancel, they will do everything to make this process feel like hell for you and try to get as much money as they can.
So I called the customer service with my CC in hand and informed them I was leaving so I wanted to cancel my membership and pay the $50 fee. From that point, the guy - very rude by the way, you can tell he hates his job - told me are you leaving more than 20 miles away from a LVAC? I said Yes and here is what he told me :
"You need to provide a lease agreement, a utility bill with my name on it, a newly issued drivers license"
Well, I go back to my parents' ! how am I suppose to show a lease agreement? a utility bill? in my foreign language? and we don't have driver's licence when we move in or out because we don't have states. So none of the solutions here were possible for me and they didn't give a damn F ! they told me that I signed for it. Well, when I signed the contract OF COURSE the girl forgot to mention all of these elements! of course if I knew that this would be the only way to cancel the membership I would have NEVER subscribe! And they told me "Well you are going to have to pay the remaining balance then which is (about) $550.00.
WHAT?!
So basically this membership suddenly goes from arranging to " you're stuck, too bad! Gotta give us that cash now!"
Well after almost 2 months of battle back and forth, explaining my situation and how I cannot give them papers and how I would never pay for that much money, they told me send us a one-way flight ticket and we will cancel"
Worst hassle I ever had in this country or anywhere else. I will never ever recommend this company!!! Run from LVAC, there are other friendly customer gyms in Vegas!
