First time here. I came wanting a healthy acai bowl and to experience the fantastic venue that is House of Alchemy. Really neat looking restaurant with open windows, open seating, upstairs balcony seating, and decor of plants and typically spring attire. The venue itself is 5 stars all the way. They have free wifi and allow you to chill all day on top of that. Weird location in the back near Sears, but plenty of parking available and cozy venue in all.
The acai bowl was a little underwhelming. I came in with high hopes as this place specializes in fruit juices and smoothies and the acai bowl even comes in a coconut bowl - which sounded fantastic. It was almost impossible to eat. The bowl was one of the most beautiful dishes upon serving that I've seen in Vegas. However, you had to eat half of the strawberries and bananas alone to be able to enjoy the meal as a bowl would intend. At $12.50 after tax, it was expensive for sure. Fresh acai berries and really nice granola rounded out the dish nicely. But it seemed underwhelming upon chewing and stressful upon eating.
House of Alchemy is a nice change of pace. Lots of healthy options in the area and this one is up there if you're looking to relax and enjoy a juice or smoothie. Expensive for sure. But if you're into exotic juice and smoothies, this could be your new spot.
