rev:text	Okay, first, let's keep in mind this is a VEGAS hotel, so you have to assume it's not going to be up to the standards of other hotels in the chain not located in hell. (For Buffy fans, they got it wrong. THIS is the hellmouth, not Sunnydale!) In my experience passing through here many times, this is true of moderately priced hotels all over town. And if you choose to stay in a "hotel/casino" you deserve what you get. Or don't get. But I digress - - the free shuttle pick up at the airport was prompt, air conditioned, no problems. The driver offered cold water. I had hope. Then we arrived. Check in was slow, made slower by the unprofessional chattiness of the clerk. Very nice, but very slow. The property is oddly and awkwardly arranged, so that it's over the river and through the woods to your room. Don't lose your map; you'll need it! Halls are dingy. The room was clean, by Vegas standards, good bed, a/c worked well. Big mini fridge, microwave oven, coffee maker. The bathroom has a giant tub, so large it was awkward to step into to shower. Adequate towels. After said shower, I discovered the hair dryer was not working. Called the desk. "Maintenance will come. " "Soon?" "I don't know." "Do you have a loaner?" "Maintenance will check first and bring you one if needed. I'll tell them you're in a 'bit of a hurry'." Seriously? In hell, one's hair drys, in a funky 'style', in about 37 seconds, without intervention to style it properly. An hour later, with funky hair and no visit from maintenance, I left the building. The breakfast is almost all carbs (there were boiled eggs), in a room that is too small for the traffic and inconveniently arranged. And here's the capper - I admit to being a diet Coke addict. One vending machine was sold out and the other one that I found was broken. Even in hell, diet Coke, cold from a vending machine, is not too much to ask. Departure shuttle - total chaos. I gave up on it and took a cab to ensure that I got to the airport in time to exit hell at the earliest possible moment! Stay somewhere else!
