  • We recently stayed at this property for a weekend spring break getaway. We booked two rooms, one for ourselves and one for our son and his family for three nights. Prior to our checkin arrival (March 27, 2015), I called ahead and requested, if available, a connecting room or at the least two rooms on the same floor. When we arrived, we were thrilled to have two rooms across from each other available for check-in. Garrick helped us at the front desk on several occasions. He even offered to unload our luggage and help us to our rooms. Because of the type of room my son had booked for two of the days, he had to move to a different room the second day. Between Garrick and Helia, two very efficient, pleasant and very helpful front desk agents, our rooms were very comfortable and even with a room move, we enjoyed an excellent stay. We had the opportunity to eat breakfast at the hotel restaurant and lunch out by the pool several times. Food was delicious, especially the omelets and cheesy potatoes. Every hotel server, the bartenders and house staff were always pleasant and helpful. In fact, often they went out of their way to greet us and ask if there was anything we needed. We were impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms, hallways, and the hotel entrance and pool areas. As we were returning one evening, I noticed that a smoker had left his cigarette butts outside by an entryway chair. They were gone the next day when we walked outside. There were always fresh, large and thick pool towels available. Plus, several large umbrellas were a nice touch beside lounge chairs. The pool water was clean and not overly chlorinated. Our grandchildren enjoyed hours of playtime in the pool. Keep in mind, the hotel was completely booked with two weddings that we observed and spring break vacationers. Given the hotel being completely booked, I was very impressed with the staff's ability to handle everyone's needs, even the difficult ones. We would definitely stay at this hotel again. My only one thought for the GM...is there a way to redirect the restaurant grilling/cooking smells from the front desk? Not a deal breaker for sure. This is a great property that's centrally located on Scottsdale Rd. I highly recommend to anyone for a night or longer, especially on a vacation or next year's spring training baseball.
