  • I always try and support small local coffeehouses. This small shop off the beaten path had decent reviews so it was a must on my list of "must visit" places. The decor is simple and clean, almost bland (but in a good way). The offerings however are equally few. The barista was very nice, inquired if it was my first visit and then gave me background on where they source pastries and coffees. Glad to see that they support other local businesses, however was a little disappointed that the offerings were so limited. I was almost shocked to see they were selling pizza by the slice, out of a box on the counter. My latte was just a tad shy of Luke warm and the barista seems almost afraid she'd scorch the milk vice allowing the steam wand on the beautiful MVP 2 group espresso machine to do it's magic! Loading the portafilter with a spoon from a bag of preground was an additional detractor, as while there she seemed to pregrind premeasured and weighed amounts of whole beans as if preparing for an onslaught of java junkies! While not busy by any difficult standard, there was a steady stream of patrons... All in all, I'll visit again. However, my 3 stars were a stretch in hope that we can tip the scales on the next visit!
