The Western Beltway North near the Red Rock Summerlin area is a great place for exercise. It's a bike path used in many triathlons and there are several sections running along the outside edge of the Wertern Beltway. Which is why I had to add the North section as its own area, the self-selection is too far away for me to check in when I use this park.
This trail is great for biking, jogging, walking, dog walking, and just a generalm "lets get out of the house into the sunshine".
You will find exercise enthusiasts along the way but it's never overcrowded. The bicyclists are never crazy maniacs and the always watch for pedestrians.
Crossing Sahara Avenue along the trail can be a bit frightening. Make sure you watch out for automobiles wanting to make a right hand turn without watching for pedestrians and their green light.
There are several neighborhoods that back up to the trail that are decorated with scenery of trees and pretty shrubs so the walk is not boring. The trail itself is black top , so if you're a runner, it's softer on impact.
The trail is been built to go on interrupted below Desert Inn Road, so there's no worry about crossing this road as well. The trail does end at Charleston, however, if you head west at the end there's much more trail and challenge ahead!
