  • Where do I start with this unorganized crossfit gym? I heard from people that Rhino Crossfit has poorly ran competitions before but this has to be the WORST. Rhino Crossfit recently held a 2 day competition at the 2015 Mr. Olympia. Day 1 of the comp was just a little unorganized. 2day?! WTH. I tried speaking to Julie (I think the owner) about a few comp rules. She replied with "you didn't read the website?" Ok, I read the website and got my answers. The competition was supposed to end at 3pm with awards starting at 3:30pm. When her crossfit superstars hadn't completed all the events by 3pm she pushed back the deadline to complete all the events by 3:30pm. At 3:30 when they STILL hadn't completed all the events?! Yup, you guessed it. She pushed the deadline back again.(THEY HAD 2DAYS) 4:45pm rolls around for awards and surprise surprise her crossfit boys that got an extra 45 mins to complete everything take 1st and 2nd in the competition. I must have made Julie pretty mad bc when time to award a 3rd place champ they "messed up" the score and gave 3rd to a local crossfit gym owner(Billy). After arguing for 30 mins and asking over and over to recheck the scores they did. Local crossfit fit owner Billy didn't actually take 3rd place, I did! Julie tried saving face in front of the crowd by getting on the load speaker saying she'd "come out of her own pocket and pay the prize money for 3rd" but made ZERO attempt was made to and ask me for an email, home address or phone number to pay me the money. When the event was over I tried to find Julie to maybe give her some kind of info. All the rhino crossfit employees were cleaning up, but Julie was no where to be found. I'm perfectly fine with placing in my respected rank, but when you flat out break the rules and potentially cost me $1000 plus dollars in prize money, of course I'm going to be a little upset! A unprofessional and unorganized gym Julie is running.
