  • GJ's is about 12 minutes away from my 'hood, but I feel like it is the center of my community. I visit almost every day. John, JJ and all the baristas are the most genuinely nice people I've met in Vegas. They chat with you like real people. Their pastries are local and their coffee is locally roasted. They support the tech community, local musicians and performers, and have art events at the coffee shop. Besides all the warm-fuzzies, the coffee is the best I have found in Vegas. A friend from San Francisco came out for a week. I took her to GJ's on the first morning and every morning after that she insisted we go by to get a drink. She tried something different every day, and said the coffee was like Blue Bottle coffee in SF, if that helps anyone.
