| - New to the Henderson area, my primary care physician recommended Green Valley OB/GYN. She did indicate that it was hard to get into. But I trust her, so scheduled an appointment. Called early January and after being on hold for 20 minutes, that for new patients we were looking at the end of January, no big deal I just needed an annual exam. Being part of an HMO I needed to select a physician, Dr Sylvia Averitt was my choice. Made my appointment for a Monday afternoon. After reading the reviews, I was ready for a horrific wait, bringing a book and ready to settle in for the duration. As instructed, I arrived at 2:30 to complete the new patient paperwork. I signed in, and took a seat (the receptionist was with someone else). I barely got comfortable and was called to the window, was greeted very pleasantly and asked nicely to complete the paperwork. Return the papers to the receptionist and was told I would be called back by a nurse shortly. 3:03, 3 minutes after my scheduled appointment, I was called. The nurse did my intake and showed me to the exam room. By 3:10 Dr Averitt arrived. We had a nice conversation, she performed the exam and by 3:21 I texted my husband that I was done. I really like Dr Averitt and am going back in a year to see her again. I am not sure who the others talked to or why they had long wait times, I always expect a wait time because people schedule a "routine" and end up with a laundry list of items to discuss or the Dr finds something that needs immediate attention.
