Clearly, a lot of love goes into Off Da Hook's N'Awlins home-style cookin'. Catfish and shrimp crunchy and NOT overcooked, chicken crispy and light. Great greens and the best yams I've ever tasted. Cornbread was yum-buttery. I wasn't crazy about the sweet potato pie, but next time we're calling ahead to reserve some peach cobbler (our first choice, but it sells out earlier than we lunch). Terrific friendly service, too. Our server invited us to take home a menu, but we'd already chosen our next lunches at Off Da Hook. My new fave soul food and southern hospitality go-to.
